Samenvatting

A bureau of industrial engineering was established in New Jersey in October, 1964. The mission of the bureau was to plan, direct, and supervise industrial engineering practices in the analysis of work, the development of methods improvements, the establishment and application of work standards, the standardization of methods and procedures, and the development and implementation of cost control technique, to insure the opium utilization of the manpower, facilities and equipment of the various divisions and bureaus of the state highway department. The computer center is developing planning and scheduling and work order programs. The combination of maintenance experience with industrial engineering should produce better maintenance operations.
