Samenvatting

The shock response spectrum is defined and applied to several areas of automotive design and crash test evaluation. An examination of the shock response spectra for several deceleration pulse shapes for vehicle front structural design indicates that there is no "best" input pulse applicable to all occupant restraint system. The present article discusses the different methods which exist for properly conducting studies relative to the first aspect, namely the definition of a plan of regulatory measures enabling the rational planning of all movements within an urban centre.
