Samenvatting

This paper investigates driver attitudes and behaviour among female drivers in Finland, to find whether the growing number of accidents in this category is due to an increasing number of female drivers or whether there are qualitative changes in their driving habits. The study was based on data on fatal accidents among both male and female drivers. It concluded that there had been no change in the way females drove during the research period. The authors felt that more research was needed into non-fatal accidents. For the covering abstract see ITRD E113725 (C 22328 CD-ROM).
