Samenvatting

The question of whether a relationship exists between cycle time and accidents is examined. To get the answer a set of model equations was built which relate accidents to the vehicle streams to which the colliding vehicles belong. This allowed to examine whether short cycle times have more accidents than would be expected and longer cycle times have fewer. No evidence was found to support this conjecture.
