Samenvatting
The concern with urban management is a logical outgrowth of the OECD's commitment to balanced economic growth, to environmental quality and to rational resource allocation. All of these concerns were discussed. A concensus was reached that action on a priority basis to improve the management of the urban areas was needed to avoid a marked deterioration in the quality of life in the cities.
