Samenvatting
Network SouthEast (NSE) is the sector of British Rail which provides passenger services for London and the South East of England. It has had a remit from government to reduce its subsidy by half in the last 3 years, and subsequent significant reductions are expected to be required in the next few years. The pattern of demand is heavily dominated by the peak, carrying some 470.000 passengers into London each weekday morning peak during 1988. During the off- peak the level of demand is relatively low.
