German lawmakers intend to permit the licensing of vehicles such as the self-balancing electric scooter made by Segway/electric scooter for purposes of public traffic in Germany in the near future. Against this background the Insurers Accident Research took up the subject and assessed the safety characteristics of this vehicle. (Author/publisher)
