Samenvatting
Research by the SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research in The Netherlands assessing the safety of the Dutch road network is presented. In The Netherlands urban and rural roads and motorways are used roughly equally, however accident rates vary greatly. These are discussed in this paper. Tables show figures for daily traffic flow by road type, compared with injury accident rates. The German title of this article is: Die Beurteilug Verkehrsnetz-Sicherheit : eine einfache Methode.
