Samenvatting

Self-reported Functional Independence Measure (FIM) values, one year or more after injury, in multiple injured major trauma patients with a head injury, have been correlated with patients' Injury Impairment Scale (IIS) scores. The response to the postal FIM-questionnaire was 77.1% (145 patients). There was no demonstrated clinical useful correlation between on the one side the IIS and on the other side mobility and cognitive function, expressed in the FIM. (A)
