A discussion is presented surrounding Community Transport and the ASTI programme. Topics explored cover three areas. Firstly, the structure and aims of the ASTI programme, requirements particular to Community Transport and to ASTI, and issues involved in meeting these requirements. Secondly, Signal Computing discusses its contribution to the programme, and how it has satisfied these often conflicting needs. Finally, Signal presents a 'vision' for Community Transport in the 21st century, and the goals to be accomplished to make this vision a reality.
