Attitudes, social norms and perceived behavioural control in adolescent pedestrian decision making.

The attitudinal, social and cognitive skills of adolescents are discussed in relation to their increased responsibilites crossing the road. Studies set up to assess the actual pedestrian skills of adolescents aged 11-15 years and to compare them to their perceived pedestrian skills, and to consider these skill levels in relation to attitudes, subjective and group norms and self identity are described.
