Samenvatting
Heavy duty roads are important in the road network, but are dangerous because they have two lanes and no median barrier. Motorways are much more safer but from the point of view of the environment they are not wanted. Heavy duty roads are the opposite. To find a mixture between environment and safety, recommendations are presented to modify the layout of such roads and to modify the human behaviour on such roads.
