Samenvatting
The Secretary of Transportation of the U.S.A. wanted to act in 1976 on the controversial air bag issue. The author outlines some problems in policy for the Secretary. The industry is not always willing for buildings in the air bag at reasonable costs. The Secretary should even go beyond requiring installation of passive restraint systems by also making seat belt usage mandatory.
