It is proposed that in early 1992 the Department of Transport publishes a Statistics Bulletin containing data on vehicle speeds in Great Britain during 1991. This article describes the process by which vehicle speed data are collected and gives a sample table of the information to be included in the bulletin, in this example, on motorway speeds.
