Samenvatting
The use of safety belts has an influence on the driving behaviour of the car driver. The notion of safety given by using the seat belt makes the driver driving his car quicker and less safe. That is concluded by Dr. W. H. Janssen of IZF- TNO. The motive for his test was the fact that the number of fatal injured car occupants decreased less than could be expected after the introduction of the mandatory seat belt use.
