The Dutch Ministry of Transport is considering several options for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). As accessibility improvements are of great potential benefits to firms, certain firms may consider contributing to investments in infrastructure. TNO Inro was commissioned by the ministry's Transport Research Centre to investigate which types of firms find accessibility to be very important, and which costs and benefits play a role. The study was divided into four parts: 1) a literature study into the importance of time; 2) a workshop with researchers and industry representatives; 3) interviews with firms; and 4) an analysis of the findings with regard to their implications for PPP. The study has improved the insight into the importance of accessibility for firms, and how they react to delays. (Author/publisher)
