Samenvatting
Lessons on traffic engineering at the Delft University of Technology are collected and composed. After a historical review on the development of the traffic and transport system, an introduction is given on traffic engineering. Thereafter traffic and transport and social activity, analysis of transport need, analysis of transport mode, selection of transport mode, and the traffic and transport planning in the process of social development are highlighted.
