Samenvatting
Young citizens, grown up in urban areas have gone through a special socialisation, regarding traffic as well. Quickly changing lifestyle on one side and "normal" social needs because of human evolution on the other side have their implications also for traffic and infrastructure. A comparison between personal general needs of young urban citizens and existing transport and traffic conditions which support or hinder youngsters will be made. Already existing possible solutions also with regard to a reduction of motorised individual traffic will be presented, and their implications for traffic safety will be discussed.
