Samenvatting
According to results reported from research abroad pavement wear due to studded tyres varies with the design of the tyres, especially if radial and diagonal type tyres are compared. The results referred to were obtained in road simulators. The present report deals with comparisons under realistic conditions. No statistically significant difference in pavement wear could be established when comparing the two types of studded tyres.
