Samenvatting
A short outline of processes to convert coal into liquid fuel is presented. First the liquefaction routes for coal are discussed. Secondly the gasification of coal and thirdly the conversion of syntheses gas in engine fuel, by which three processes are important, the production of methanol, the production of petrol from methanol and the manufacture of petrol after the Fischer-Tropsch-proces, are discussed.
