Problems which have directly or indirectly relationships with accessibility, such as congestion, the high vehicle mileage, the exploitation of public transport etc. ask for fundamental senses on the question if on the long term (2040) the answer on the solution of it not could be found in a total new direction than the policy of today. If the problems of accessibility, mobility and living with traffic should be solved in a structural way, than a long term vision is needed. Future images can be the basis for strategical choices and a long term policy. Future images regarding accessibility should consider the development on the demand of transport, the future spatial development, the transport system in the future transport system in the future and the development of our society. The aim of this study is to give guidelines for such future images.
