Samenvatting
This paper is concerned with the problem of optimum timing of traffic signals with a fixed sequence time. The problem is formulated as that of maximizing the aggregated duration of the green intervals occurring in a single sequence subject to the conditions that conflicts be eliminated, green waves be introduced and that no green interval shall be shorter than a specified minimum numerical aspects of solving this particular problem and an example are discussed at the end of the paper.
