Samenvatting
After an introduction the question when a road safety device must be placed is discussed. A description is given of the road safety devices in type and construction details. The place when and where safety fences must be constructed are given for normal transverse profiles, for median reserves with different widths, and for hard shoulders with different widths. Discontinuities and transitions in road safety devices are discussed, just as some other kinds of crash barriers.
