Samenvatting
The relation between some design-elements of motorways and traffic safety from the point of view of the phase before and during the accident is emphasised. In particular the lay-out and design of the zone at the rightside of the road is stressed. An analytical method for the determination of the priorities of improvements along the road is given. Discussions are included.
