Samenvatting
Data from the Dutch National Travel Survey are used to find population groups with a homogeneous travel performance as regards trip production and trip length. Applying the concept of these homogeneous groups (homogeneous market segments) to the existing regional models might improve the accuracy and predictability of travel behaviour. In this paper, the first results of a study into the relative importance and stability of various personal, zonal and trip- related factors that explain travel behaviour are presented.
