Trends in the 1981 Budget of the Ministry of Transport are given, together with the road-building program for the next five years. The amounts to be spent and the revised time planning show that slowing down more than 60% of all projects is going to cost the country more through inflation, loss of interest and chances of new interference with the planning and construction process.
