Samenvatting

A nationally representative sample of 23.699 elementary school aged bicyclists is studied. Information was collected concerning the bicyclist, his bicycle, his use on his last driving day, and accidents that occurred in the past 5 years. Accident details were requested for incidents that caused bicycle damage or any injury. Inter-relationships were identified between accident details and age, sex, experience, type of bicycle, injury treatment, geographic areas, city size, and other pertinent variables.
