The last decade has seen a major move to mandate the use of helmets for vulnerable road users. This has reached complete coverage for motorised vulnerable road vehicles (mopeds, scooters and motorcycles) and the rapid increase in usage levels by Australian cyclists give hope that mandation of use might become a widely accepted step within a few years.
