Samenvatting
This document reviews the research on bicycle helmet use and the methods that best facilitate widespread use. It examines research on the impact of legislation and other helmet promotion programs on levels of helmet wearing as well on bicycling, and the cost-effectiveness of these initiatives. The efficacy of helmets in reducing the risk of injury and their design features is also evaluated. (Author/publisher)
