After a short historical review aspects on planning, design and legislation of bicycle paths are presented. The book, however, falls for short of establishing a solid case for marking significant investments in bicycling facilities and does not outline what kind of overall network or scale of investments would be required to induce or accommodate as a variable form of transportation.
