Samenvatting
As bicycle travel in the USA has increased in recent years, numerous complaints from bicyclists are received indicated that they want to use selected segments of freeway shoulders. They maintain that in some cases, the freeway shoulder is both safer and more convenient than the alternative routes available or that in other cases, the freeway segment is the only route available. A study was made and recommendations of the study team are presented.
