Biomechanics of the vertebral column internal organ response to seated spinal impact in the rhesus monkey (Macaca Mulatta)

The aim of this work was to collect experimental data to describe the biodynamic response of the Macaca mulatta to + Gz spinal impact, so as to establish more precisely the dynamic, anatomic, and physiologic scaling criteria necessary to provide a rational basis for extrapolating impact data to man.
