Samenvatting

This scientific poster presentation on research is based on the hypothesis that the head is not a solid non deformable body, but a complex structure including deformable elements when subjected to vibration. Two mathematical models are proposed: a lumped model and a finite element model of the head in its sagittal plane. These models are validated by their modal behaviour which allowed the injury mechanisms to be distinguished as a function to the shock's spectral characteristics. The objective of the study is to complete the results by temporal analysis of the models by calculating the evolution of the intra-cranial mechanical parameters under shock conditions.
