Samenvatting
Aerodynamic drag is a significant factor in fuel consumption of trucks and tractor-trailer combinations. Several devices have been tested for their ability to reduce the aerodynamic drag when mounted on trucks and tractor trailers in order to improve fuel economy. A review is given of the fuel saving tests with the "add on" devices performed in the U.S.A., West-Germany, and The Netherlands.
