Samenvatting
As a consequence of the fuel crisis, there has been increased interest in reducing drag to safe fuel. The high aerodynamic drag of box-shaped trucks and trailers was merely overcome by more powerful engines which in turn lead to increased fuel consumption. This article describe s some research findings. By the application of drag reducing equipment a 5 percent decrease of fuel consumption could be achieved.
