Samenvatting
The application of fuel cell batteries combined with secondary batteries for transportation is discussed. Both a technical and an economical evaluation is given for the case of city buses. It appears that (hybrid) fuel cell driven buses are superior to buses with secondary batteries as sole power sources. In future the hydrogen fuel cell is the only satisfactory replacement of the combustion engine for technical and economical reasons.
