Coin operated self-testers used in liquor dispensing ere-mises are supposed to reveal a drinkers'alcohol concentra-tion (BAC) in the hope that this information will influ-ence driving behaviour. Such information is of particularrelevante in those jurisdictions which have legislativelimits for permissible BACs in drivers. This study exami-nes a commercial model of the Alcohol-Guard (1977) in alaboratory setting.
