A brief review of vehicle safety standards developed over the past five years. Paper presented at the 6th Annual Conference of the Canada Safety Council, Toronto, October 27-30, 1974.

A review is given of the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards program concerned with crash avoidance, crashworthiness and environmental aspects. The objectives of the program are to reduce the number of collisions and to reduce death, injury property damage.
