Samenvatting

On the basis of a national driver seat belt survey conducted in Canada each year, the most important results are presented. A number of programmes for increasing seat belt use has been evaluated in Canada. Finally, a description is given of some of the current and planned activities within Canada which is hoped will provide the means of reaching a 95% seat belt use rate for all vehicle occupants.
