Samenvatting
The replacement of the car stereo with the AutoPC is predicted, enabling drivers to have access to new media, route guidance and driver information. Meeting consumer demands and preventing obsolescence are considered important, but the problems of driver overload, interface/technology development, harmonisation, and the threat of legislation remain to be solved. Marketing considerations and the benefits of telematics are outlined. Some simulated visual displays are presented.
