Reports his analysis of the unusual transit mode of "jitney taxis, or shared taxicabs, in Caracas, Venezuela". While nearly a half-million passengers are served each day by this system, the future is apt to be limited by the systems inherently low profit, and by competition with others forms of public transportation.
