Cars for cities : a study of trends in the design of vehicles with particular reference to their use in towns.

Aspects of vehicle design that affect traffic congestion parking space, air pollution, traffic noise, and road safety is considered. Emphasis is placed on the design of a "citycar", a small compact vehicle with a low powered internal combustion engine using existing roads but at selected points segregated from other vehicles on special purpose roadways.
