Samenvatting
The design philosophy of the Caltex "Star Driver" secondary school driver education project is described. Since vehicle crashes are the major cause of death and injury to people in their late teens and early twenties, driver education is seen as an integral part of the Health and Social Education Syllabus at Form V level. The course combines practical driving skills training with self- management training based on social learning theory.
