The challenge for public policy to help deploy IVHS in the U.S.

This paper addresses key needs for public policy initiative related to Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems (IVHS). The discussion addresses policy issues under each of two broad areas of IVHS application, namely, one whose focus is information technology and another whose focus is vehicular control.
