Samenvatting
PIARC Technical Committee C16 carried out a survey to collect data on ITS applications in economies in transition and developing countries. Case studies are presented on several countries: Brazil, China, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Romania and Thailand. For each country, the analysis framework consists of key country/transport features, issues, ITS applications (implemented, under deployment, at planning stage), organizations, and ITS priorities. Readers are invited to update or extend the existing information. It is intended that future versions will progressively better describe a fast changing reality.
