Samenvatting
The authors describe research carried out to evaluate the driving habits of elderly drivers, 70-85 years of age, to consider sight deficiencies likely to reduce road safety. A telephone questionnaire was carried out to include drivers with good vision and also those with vision defects. The analysis is said to indicate that drivers with serious vision problems are less likely to be exposed to risk compared with drivers with full vision, covering both quantitative and qualitative measures.
