Samenvatting
The potential of the behavioural sciences for influencing modal split in favour of bike and public transport is discussed Central focus is on the "software" (the human side) of the transport system, far more than on the "hardware". A behavioural science approach has been successfully applied to reduce energy consumption. Elaborating on this experience, several techniques for influencing transport behaviour are shown.
