Characteristics and determinants of traveller micro behaviour at intermodal transfer facilities : some spatial aspects.

This paper describes some empirical findings concerning certain spatial aspects of micro behaviour of travellers at a parking facility at an intermodal transfer facility in the Netherlands. Two aspects of micro behaviour are examined: (i) the choice of a parking space; and (ii) the movement across the parking facility. Using data gathered at a parking lot in the city of Eindhoven, more insight is provided into the relationship between the characteristics of the parking lot and some spatial aspects of micro behaviour.
