In a driving simulator eight subjects each executed 112 lane change manoeuvres under varying conditions of vehicle speed, road curvature, lane width, and type of lane change manoeuvre. The experiment was designed to generate data of a sufficient level of detail to describe `normal' lane changing behaviour. This report gives the distributions of a number of variables that are relevant for defining how lane change manoeuvres are executed by human drivers. By this, the limits of acceptable lane change manoeuvres can be defined for automatic in-vehicle lane change devices. (A)
