Samenvatting
When assessing the need for strengthening an existing roadpavement the amount of traffic already carried by the pavement must be taken into account. Future traffic must be estimated when designing strengthening overlays or new road pavements. The report presents a series of simplified charts for the estimation of past and future cumulative commercial vehicle traffic which are based on nomograms developed by the Transport and Road Research Laboratory.
